What is it?
Junior Church is exactly that- somewhere where children can come, learn about Jesus, worship God and have fun in a relaxed atmosphere.
There are three classes: Bubbles, Splash and Xstream. These cover the age range of primary school, and are designed to present a different theme from the Bible each week in an engaging and relevant way. We also come together at the end of Junior Church for songs, games and a prayer.
Where and when?
Junior Church runs every Sunday morning during the morning service, in the Small Hall and various surrounding rooms.
Why do we do it?
Junior Church exists to give children somewhere to come where they can learn about God and have a good time at their own level, and to give grown-ups the option of being able to concentrate fully on what's going on in the main service without having to look after little ones.
Thinking of coming?
Children start off in church for the first 15 minutes or so of the service, during which there is an all-age talk and children's song. Soon after this, and someone will say when, they leave for their own activities. Parents, you're welcome to come with your children to Junior Church. If it's your child's first time, it might be helpful to speak to one of the JC leaders before the service; they'll be in bright red T-shirts.
