Statement of Purpose
We believe we have two basic purposes as a church. They’re the words in large type in the statement below.
|
Under the guidance of God and in the power of His Holy Spirit,
our purposes areTo know, love and serve God
and
To share the good news of Jesus Christ with people around us in ways that make sense to them
so that together we become committed disciples of Jesus Christ
under God’s grace, worshipping Him, receiving His love,
forgiveness, healing and salvation,
being filled with His Spirit,
and working for His kingdom.

The words at the top of the statement are there because we don’t want to lose sight of the fact that it’s up to God what our purpose really should be. The words in italics should be the result of us hitting our purpose right.
