Thank you to everyone who completed the summer survey
At the beginning of September, the elders and staff team will be reviewing the church’s current programme and considering when the time might be right to begin hosting one simple service in the church building each Sunday. The safety of everyone is of the utmost importance to us and we would continue to have one Sunday service online too.
A service in the building this autumn would be very different to those we remember before Covid-19. Everyone would have to wear a mask and keep socially distanced at all times, sitting where instructed. Sadly, we wouldn’t be able to sing or have any refreshments or social time and, at present, we could not offer any crèche facilities or children’s groups. We would share all this guidance, and more, with you in good time before any services to ensure everyone knew what to do to keep safe.
Before we reach that stage, though, it would help the elders/staff review to have an indication of how you are feeling about this possibility. Any church members and friends are welcome to complete the survey below by 26 August.
If you haven’t already, you may wish to do the personal risk assessment here first, to inform your answers. If you are in a ‘vulnerable’ category (e.g. over 70), the national URC strongly advises that you take the personal risk assessment before returning to church activities.
Thank you for your input. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your elder directly.
