The Bereavement Journey
Our next course begins on Tuesday 13 February 2024 at 7pm in the small hall (come in the halls entrance) for seven consecutive weeks. Please register below, you would be very welcome.
The Bereavement Journey is a course to help those who have been bereaved, whether recently, or for many years. Grieving is processing loss, and often people do not have the courage, the support or the chance to look at what has happened to them in a safe environment. The Bereavement Journey provides this space and all are welcome.
The course comprises 7 sessions, it is structured with 6 sessions on the main grief journey material, with an optional 7th session considering the faith perspective, for those who would like to consider where faith questions come into their own bereavement journey.
Each session of the course is designed to last around two hours, and comprises two video presentations, both followed by small group discussion time. There is a break in the middle for refreshments.
The course material has proved to be helpful in almost all bereavement situations. For most bereaved people, it provides the tools they need to enable them to process their loss without further one-to-one or professional assistance. However, this course may be less helpful to those grieving a miscarriage or neonatal death, as much of its material is centred on the relationship with the bereaved."
While the course is freely offered, it would be helpful if you would consider a donation of £5 to cover some of the costs. However, we would not want this to be a reason for not attending, so please be assured that this is entirely voluntary.
