At West Kirby URC, we believe that caring for one another is every member’s responsibility. Every interaction we have with each other is an opportunity to care.
There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to pastoral care but our church offers lots of different support structures, formal and informal. Alongside these, there are opportunities to invest in close friendships and there are elders, intercessors, fellowship group leaders and many others you can invite to walk some of life’s journey alongside you, if you wish.

We want pastoral care to be natural and to include everybody, but we recognise that we also need to ensure that pastoral care is sufficiently well organised so that nobody gets left out. For this reason, everyone who becomes a member of West Kirby URC is assigned an elder who will:

- Pray for the members of their pastoral group
- Be there for them if they get in touch to talk or pray together
- Seek to ensure that any members who share with them that they are experiencing difficult times are well supported. by the church.
