Toddler Group

West Kirby URC holds Toddler Group on Fridays during term time with morning and afternoon sessions, beginning at 10am and 1pm respectively. This includes a craft room, play-hall, home-corner with dressing ups, and a singsong time in the church to end each session. Toddlers is run by a team of volunteers from West Kirby URC, and a few friends from other churches too, and we look forward to meeting you!

With a different theme each week, children can create in the craft room, dress up with all the costumes or make a meal in the home corner. There's space for active play in the main hall with ride-on toys whilst for those wanting a quieter time, the Story Corner allows children to look at picture books or play with the Lego

Mums, dads, grandparents and carers can relax and enjoy a tea or coffee and, towards the end of the session, children are offered their own finger treats like apple slices, cheese squares, raisins and bread sticks, with a drink of water or juice. Each session of Toddlers ends with a Sing Song time in church with fun activity songs, dance videos and instruments.

Joining Toddlers

We welcome children from birth to when they reach formal education at 4+ years, plus their parents or carers. As a local toddler group, we give priority to families from CH48 and CH47 postcodes.

Toddlers For Dads

We also run a termly Saturday morning group, ‘Toddlers for Dads’, for dads, grandads and children, and mums who can't make it on a Friday. There are bacon and sausage sandwiches and hot drinks for the grown-ups, and crafts, snacks and all the usual Toddler Group toys and activities for the children.

Toddlers for Dads takes place on occasional Saturday mornings through the year from 10-11.30am in West Kirby URC's halls. Dates are advertised at Toddlers, through an email list and on the church's social media. Sign up to the men's email list here for reminders about upcoming Toddlers for Dads Saturdays and come along, there's no waiting list for places.

Thanksgiving Services

We would be delighted to offer a simple service of thanksgiving for the birth of your child as part of our regular Sunday service. We give thanks to God for this wonderful new life and pray for you as parents, that God will bless you as you bring up your child.
