Christmas in the Community:
We will continue to Connect Your Community to Christ this Christmas, and everyone's invited to join in...
We'll sharing more invitations digitally than in paper form this year, but do have some paper Christmas flyers available. If you would like any to post to your neighbours or give to friends, whether a few or a lot, please contact Kath commsmanager[@]wkurc.org.uk.
We will continue to Connect Your Community to Christ this Christmas, and everyone's invited to join in...
- Everyone's invited to share some hope by donating to Wirral Foodbank - there will be a collection point at church during the services (only - no drop-off at church during the week). Foodbank have enough tins of beans and soup but other useful items include tinned meat / fish / vegetables / pies, rice, pasta, sauces, tinned fruit / puddings, long-life milk, tea, coffee, cereal...
- Like we stood on our doorsteps to clap for the NHS, Christians across the country are being encouraged to arrange with their neighbours to stand on their doorsteps and carol sing together this Christmas. Premier Radio are organising this for Sunday 20 December at 5.30pm and Doorstep Carols for Monday 21 December at 8pm but you could do it any time. Have a look at the carol sheets and resources @ www.doorstepcarols.com and invite your neighbours to join you!
- The Evangelism Team have bought 20 Advent Hope & Joy Boxes, containing fun, creative and reflective activities for all ages from Advent-Epiphany, and gifted them to families connected to the church.
- The Toddlers team continue to keep in touch with families via the Toddlers Facebook post and will be posting some treats out this Christmas.
- We can't host the ‘Carols Around the Tree’ event for local businesses this year, but the Evangelism Team have plans to bless our neighbouring local businesses with a little Christmas surprise.
- We continue to keep in touch with Riversdale Nursing Home and are arranging how best to bless the residents and staff there this Christmas-time, and Dan's leading Advent and Christmas assemblies on Zoom for West Kirby Primary School.
